Artist's Comments

From context, I guess these happy pigs are souvenirs from Singapore, c. 1940.

Items from a box of personal effects from around World War II belonging to Scott and David Yates.

LMAO xD That just made me laugh, my apologies. The picture's setup is acually very well thought out. Those look like Harry Potter glasses :D

It made me laugh too...looking through the box of stuff...glasses, photographs, bullets...and horny pigs?

I really like this shot, the lines of the glasses leading into the centre focus area. It certainly helps that the centre is magnified... and you just cannot go wrong with horny pigs.

I'm not sure how I feel about the text, it is not too distracting with the small dof and does add certain qualities to the image, I think there might be a better surface for the shot though.

Thanks again, my away message for yesterday was: "You just cannot go wrong with horny pigs." ~Grey Gockley

I used the book because it was another one of the items from the trunk...and cuz i like what =jmonzani did with it in a few of his photos. Yeah...I'm not sure it was used effectively, either.

Sweet... that makes me happy.

I would try similar shots against solid or patterned backgrounds, like hardwood or tile flooring, might be more effective.
